Apple rumored to be delaying launch of new M3-powered Macs and iPads until 2024

Apple is rumored to be delaying plans to launch new M3-powered Macs and iPads until 2024, with a leaker claiming that chipmaker TSMC is facing 3-nanometer yield issues, which is leaving Apple unable to begin volume production of the new devices as planned.

Twitter leaker @Tech_Reve says that due to yield issues, TSMC is not able to supply enough of the M3 chips to Apple, leading to iPhone maker delaying the launch of the M3 series until next year, meaning that there will be no M3-powered Macs and iPads announced this year.

It had been rumored that Apple would launch several new Macs powered by the M3 chip, including an updated 24-inch iMac, refreshed 13-inch MacBook Pro and an updated 13-inch MacBook Air.

The leaker’s insight corroborates with reports last month that supplier TSMC was straining to meet demand from Apple for the new 3-nm chips.
